Most of us know only one gruesome part of the Donner Party tragedy, but that is by no means the entire story. Through extensive research, Leslie Scatchard has created a solo show that gives a larger perspective of the Donner Party through the eyes of Tamsen Donner, the wife of George Donner. Tamsen’s actual diaries have never been recovered, but Leslie recreates her story from information that others in the party left behind. Come learn about this bright and extraordinary woman, and get an expanded perspective on these infamous early pioneers.
