The town of Petaluma was incorporated in 1958, but the first church was founded in 1849. This guided tour will take you into three of Petaluma’s oldest houses of worship: the First Congregational Church (now Unitarian Universalists of Petaluma), St. John’s Episcopal Church, and St. Vincent’s Roman Catholic Church. From outside and in, you will see the stained glass windows, sanctuaries, and distinctive architecture.

At each location, you will learn about the building’s architecture along with a brief history of the church. Your guides will be the Petalumans of Yesteryear, personas from Petaluma’s past dressed in period attire.

Please note that you will start your tour at any one of the three churches, and then rotate to the other two to complete your tour. More information will be provided after you purchase your tickets.
